This reference book is a compendium of the history and development of radio communication equipment in use by the British Army over the period 1932-1945. This period represents two milestones in the technical progress of British military radio communications. Volume 1 relates to Wireless Sets Nos. 1- 88, covering the early radios prior to the outbreak of World War II, and wartime sets which were never released in large quantities or were abandoned after trials. Only a summary of data is given for the standard WWII equipment, which for reasons of space is dealt with in a separate Volume.
Volume 1 is softback – the others volumes are hardback.
Please note: The price for this book to the UK includes shipping
The Wireless for the Warrior books are excellent, but large and heavy and therefore expensive to ship internationally.
We still ship to non-UK customers, but only after quoting the full cost via UPS.
If you want to to place an order then send your order to shop@electronpublishing.com and we will quote the full UPS charge.
Note that this cost will not include any local customer fees your country may charge – these are beyond our control and we do not know what they may be. Often books are zero-rated, but you should check.
It is generally cheaper per book to ship multiple books, rather than one at a time.
